Mon, Sep 25, 2023, 06:48 pm SL Time, ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka.

Sept 25, Colombo: Shinnyo-en Lanka Preschool, a distinguished pioneer in early childhood education owned and operated by Shinnyo-en Japan, has announced the commencement of admissions for the academic year 2024.

Renowned for its integration of the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) methods and the National Policy on Preschool Education, Shinnyo-en Lanka Preschool provides completely free education for children aged 3 to 5 years, offering them a comprehensive and holistic learning experience.

Founded in 1987 by the visionary Japanese Buddhist Master Shinjo Ito, the Preschool has been a beacon of education for over three decades with over 7,000 students graduating from the school to date. The Preschool offers the best facilities conducive for a comprehensive learning experience, where children are promoted to be themselves while developing their essential skills for preschool success, mutual respect and confidence. The curriculum also covers music, dancing, speech and drama, show and tell, physical education, arts and crafts and cookery, providing a strong foundation for a child and fostering multifaceted individuals instilled with Buddhist values.

“We believe that through our Preschool, children receive a strong educational foundation that nurtures compassion, empathy, and personal growth, empowering them to excel as they embark on the next stage of their lives, well-prepared to meet the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. This foundation is guided by key Buddhist disciplines such as integrity, meditation, and wisdom, echoing the teachings of compassion and wisdom through which we aim to create well-rounded individuals to the Sri Lankan society.” said Ikeda Mikinori, the Director of Shinnyo-en Lanka Preschool, extending a heartfelt, warm welcome to parents.

The Preschool is operated under the auspices of Shinnyo-en Japan, a Buddhist denomination in Japan, which strongly believes all living beings are interconnected and are dedicated to uplifting the world through various social contribution activities conducted across the world.
