Sept 19, Colombo: A dead body of an unknown person has been found on the beach of Palliyawatta in Wattala Police Division.

The Wattala Police have started investigations based on information that a dead body had come ashore on Monday (18) afternoon.

The police said the deceased is a man between 65 and 70 years old, 05 feet 05 inches tall, with a slim build andgrey hair, wearing a yellow short-sleeved shirt and gray long pants,.

An autopsy was conducted and the body was placed in the Ragama Hospital mortuary.

Wattala Police is conducting further investigations.
