* Male body found inside a travelling bag in Seeduwa

Sept 16, Colombo: Seeduwa police have found a dead body of a male hidden in a travelling bag that was abandoned on the banks of the Dadugam Oya in Seeduwa on Friday night.

Police Media Spokesperson's Office said according to the information received by the Seeduwa Police, during an investigation, the dead body was found inside a travelling bag, and the victim is believed to have died few days ago.

The police stated that there is no clue about the identity of the murdered person or the people who committed the crime so far and said that several special police teams started investigating the crime last night (15).

According to the police, the deceased is an adult male with a height of 5’8”, wearing a red-colored shirt and a pair of brown-colored trousers,

It has been reported that a tattoo with 07 star marks was visible on the right side of the deceased’s neck and that there are injury marks on both sides of his head and chin.

The body has been placed in the Negombo Hospital following the magistrate’s inquest.

Seeduwa Police are conducting further investigations regarding the incident.
