* President Wickremesinghe leaves for Cuba, USA to attend the G77, UN meetings

Sept 13, Colombo: Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe has left the island early this morning on a trip to Cuba and the United States, the President’s Media Division stated.

The President will first travel to Havana, Cuba to participate in the G77 Summit which will be held in Havana on September 15 and 16.

Afterwards the President will travel to New York to join the 78th Annual session of the United Nations General Assembly beginning on September 19 and will address the event on September 21.

In Havana as well as in New York, President Ranil Wickremesinghe will hold official level discussions with many world leaders who are coming there to participate in those conferences, President’s Media Division said.
