Nov 17, Colombo: The parliamentary Committee on High Posts has approved six appointments including four new envoys and a ministry secretary.

The Committee on High Posts which met in Parliament Wednesday (Nov. 15) under the chairmanship of the Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena, has approved the appointments of Mrs. K.D Senewiratne as the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to India and C.R.B Bogollagama as the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland..

In addition, the committee has also approved the appointments of Mr. D.D.M.S.B Dissanayake as the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to the Republic of Singapore, Mr. W.K.C Weerasena as the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Kingdom of Belgium and the European Union.

Furthermore, the Committee on High Posts has approved the appointments of Mr. K.D.N.R Asoka as the secretary to the Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils and Local Government and of Dr. B.K J. K Perera as the Chairman of Ceylon Fertilizer Company Limited.

The Committee on High Posts Ministers Nimal Siripala de Silva, Vidura Wickramanayake, Members of Parliament John Seneviratne, Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, Rishad Bathiudeen and Udaya Gammanpila were present at this committee meeting.
