May 28, Colombo: State Minister for Finance Ranjith Siyambalapitiya says that a program has been prepared to streamline the payment of taxes and to fix the weaknesses and shortcomings in tax collection.

Speaking to the media in Ruwanwella area this morning, Minister Siyambalapitiya said the electronic system will be implemented through the implementation of the RAMIS project, which has been dragging on for many years, in order to make the tax system more efficient.

Also, since there is a long delay due to the lack of a separate court for tax matters, it has been proposed to establish a separate court for tax matters, the Minister added.

State Minister of Finance Ranjith Siyambalapitiya says that a program has been set up to speed up the rectifying of existing weaknesses and deficiencies in tax collection and to streamline the payment of taxes, and it will be presented to the President next week.
