May 21, Colombo: Officers of the Police Special Task Force have arrested three persons with a stock of ice (crystal methamphetamine) and Kerala cannabis belonging to two organized criminals and drug traffickers who run the drug network in Sri Lanka from abroad.
Special Task Force officers during two separate raids conducted in Gampaha and Seeduwa Police Divisions have seized 145 kg and 298 grams of Kerala ganja, 320 grams of ice drug hidden in a cylindrical plastic tube, 03 mobile phones, 02 bank cards, 02 digital scales and 21,500.00 rupees in cash.
The suspects are residents of Hanwella, Udugampola and Kotugoda areas. They have been handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau for further investigation.
Information has revealed that the stock of these drugs belong to organized criminals and drug traffickers Koralagamage Mandidu Pathmasiri Perera and Sigankutty Arachchige Kushan Avishka Wimalasiri who are currently running the drug network in Sri Lanka from abroad.
