June 05, Colombo: A Chinese national died after falling from the 8th floor of a housing complex that is under construction in Union Place of Kompannavidiya, the police said.

The 24-year-old Chinese national was working as an assistant engineer at the building under construction.

According to the police, he fell from the building at around 5.00 pm yesterday (4) while observing the construction of the building.

He was seriously injured in the incident and has died while being admitted to the Colombo National Hospital.
