Jan 28, Colombo: National Election Commission member MM Mohammed has also received death threats to resign from his post.

A spokesman for the Election Commission said that some person had threatened the commissioner with death over the phone.

The member of the Election Commission MM Mohammed has complained to the Criminal Investigation Department about the threats.

The spokesperson of the Election Commission also said that the member has been given police protection.
