* Sathosa reduces prices of six essential items

Jan 25, Colombo: Sri Lanka’s largest state owned retail chain Lanka Sathosa has further reduced the prices of six essential consumer items.

Sathosa says that this discounted price will be effective from tomorrow (January 26) in all country wide Sathosa outlets.

According to this price reduction, price of one kilogram of dry chilies has been reduced by 30 rupees, one kilogram of white Kekulu rice (local) has been reduced by 10 rupees.

In addition price of, one kilogram of red Kekulu has been reduced by 8 rupees, one kilogram of local white nadu rice by 5 rupees, one kilogram of red lentils by 5 rupees, and one kilogram of keeri Samba by 4 rupees.

Accordingly, new prices are shown below:
