* Suspect arrested with unauthorized explosives worth Rs. 1.8 million

Sept 21, Colombo: The Police Special Task Force of Dompe Pananwala has arrested an individual who was transporting explosives worth more than Rs. 1.8 million in a cab without a license.

The Special Task Force says that 25 kilos of ammonium nitrate were seized during a raid conducted on information received about the suspect.

The police also found Rs. 500,000 in the possession of the suspect at the time of the arrest.

The arrested suspect is a 41-year-old resident of Dompe and has been handed over to Dompe Police for further investigations.
