Nov 29, Colombo: The Communist Party of Vietnam has donated a stock of medicines to Sri Lanka in response to a request made by the Sri Lanka Communist Party.
The donated stock of medicines was handed over to Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena yesterday at the Prime Minister's Office in Colombo.
Measures have been taken to distribute the stock of medicines to the hospitals which have shortage of medicines, the Prime Minister’s Office said.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Ho Thi Thanh Truc, Minister of Health Keheliya Rambukwella, State Minister Sisira Jayakody, Member of Parliament Weerasumana Weerasinghe, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Sri Lanka G. Weerasinghe and a group of officials were present at the occasion.
