Nov 23, Colombo: Samagi Jana Balawegaya Parliamentarian Chaminda Wijesiri has been removed from Parliament Chamber today after he attempted to assault Member of Parliament Nimal Lanza during this morning’s Parliament sitting.

MP Chaminda Wijesiri has tried to attack MP Nimal Lanza during a debate about the local government elections in Parliament today.

Speaker of Parliament Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena instructed to remove MP Wijesiri for behaving in an unruly manner in the Chamber as per the request of Leader of the House Susil Premajayantha.

MP Chaminda Wijesiri will not be allowed in the House for today’s sittings.
