* STF arrests an individual storing a haul of weapons

Nov 21, Colombo: A person who was keeping a secret cache of weapons has been arrested by the Special Task Force (STF) of police.

When the Special Task Force raided the Laksetha Sevana housing complex in the Maligawatta Police Division and several houses on Bodhiraja Mawatha, they found a place where a large number of weapons were illegally hidden and arrested a person in connection with the cache.

Swords, hand axes and many sharp weapons have been found in the possession of the suspect.

The police suspect that these weapons may have been stored with the intention of committing a crime.

Police Special Task Force says that further investigation will be done by Maligawatta Police.
