* Singapore company signs US$ 1 billion investment to develop an entertainment zone at Colombo Lotus Tower

Nov 18, Colombo: Sri Lanka Friday received an investment of one billion US dollars to develop a water sports and an entertainment zone at the Colombo Lotus Tower.

An agreement was signed today between Creative Design Private Company of Singapore and Colombo Lotus Tower Management Company to bring an investment of US$ 1 billion within the next 3 years to develop an entertainment zone at the Lotus Tower premises.

In the next 6 months, a casino hall and an entertainment zone including water sports will be developed in the Nelum Kuluna premises.

This will develop trade, investment, tourism activities between Sri Lanka and Singapore. The plan is to implement a night time activities program, especially in the area around the Lotus Tower, Major General Prasad Samarasinghe, Chief Executive Officer of Colombo Nelum Kuluna Management Private Company said.
