July 04, Colombo: The Supreme Court today ordered the Attorney General to provide a report regarding fuel purchase, release and priority given in distribution of fuel. The report should be submitted before the 12th.

The Supreme Court issued this order after considering two fundamental rights petitions filed by the Bar Association of Sri Lanka.

The order was issued by a three-judge bench of the Supreme Court comprising Justices Vijith Malalgoda, Mahinda Samayawardena and Arjuna Obeysekera.

The Attorney General’s report will be considered before the open court on the 14th.
