* Opposition Leader demands the government to resign
Sun, Jul 3, 2022, 09:11 pm SL Time, ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka.

July 03, Colombo: Leader of Opposition and Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Sajith Premadasa says this government is no longer able to run the country and therefore the government led by the president and prime minister has no other option but to resign immediately.

The Opposition Leader said that he would start the people’s struggle to oust this terrible government and asked the people to forget party differences and come forward to join him.

The Opposition Leader also requested the security forces to commit themselves at this moment to protecting the people of the country instead of protecting one gang or individual who are against the country.

SJB Leader said that the problems of this country cannot be solved immediately in 5 days or in 5 months. The people should not be fooled by such lies and it is an unfortunate situation, if anyone tries to deceive the people of this country.

The Leader of the Opposition made these remarks in a meeting held at the office of the Leader of the Opposition today (03).

The Opposition Leader said that it will take at least five years to rebuild this country and the talk of rebuilding this country sooner is futile.
