* Power and Energy Minister lodges complaint with CID to probe CPC and CPSTL activities

Aug 18, Colombo: Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera has lodged a complaint with the Criminal Investigation Department requesting to investigate Sri Lanka’s state owned fuel distributor and fuel storage company.

In a twitter message, the Minister said he lodged the complaint with the CID requesting to conduct an investigation into the activities of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) and the Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminals Limited (CPSTL)

The Minister has requested the CID to investigate Fuel procurement, Evaluation of proposals, Non placement of orders, Selection of suppliers, Delays in payments, Distribution irregularities and Allegations made by individuals.
