* Sri Lanka reports six COVID-19 deaths and 195 new cases on Tuesday

Aug 16, Colombo: Sri Lanka Tuesday reported six deaths due to COVID-19 after the figures were confirmed by the Director General of Health Services on Monday, August 15.

Among the deaths reported today, are 03 males and 03 females. All six deaths are of elderly people in the 60 years and above age group.

Meanwhile, another 195 people infected with Covid-19 have been identified today (16).

According to the Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry, since the outbreak of the COVID-19 in February 2020, Sri Lanka has reported 668,336 infections and 16,630 deaths to date.
