Aug 03, Colombo: Three more political parties met with the President Ranil Wickremesinghe today in the second round of discussions between the government and political parties to form an all-party government, which started yesterday.
The main Tamil party, Tamil National Alliance (TNA) met President Ranil Wickramasinghe at the President's Office to discuss the formation of an all-party government.
A group of TNA parliamentarians including M.A. Sumanthiran, Dharmalingam Siddarthan, Selvam Adaikalanathan, and Shanakiyan Rasamanickam were present at the discussion, President's office said.
They have presented their party's views on an all-party government to the President at length.
The President informed the group of MPs about the 22nd Constitutional Amendment which has been published in the Gazette and the Interim Budget to be presented to the Parliament in the future.
The New Lanka Freedom Party led by Kumara Welgama and the Vijaya Dharani National Assembly including Athuraliye Rathana Thero also met President Ranil Wickramasinghe today for the discussions.
Attention was also drawn to the matters mentioned in the policy statement presented by the President to the Parliament.
Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena also attended the discussions.
