Aug 02, Colombo: Trade union leader Saman Rathnapriya has been appointed as the Director General of Trade Unions to President Ranil Wickremesinghe.

The appointment was made by the Secretary to the President Saman Ekanayake, on the advice of the President under Article 41 (1) of the Constitution of Sri Lanka, the President’s Media Division said.

Saman Rathnapriya is the President of Government Nursing Officer’s Association.
