* Public protest at Galle Face continues for the 43rd day

May 21, Colombo: The round-the-clock protest staged by the general public in front of the Presidential Secretariat in Galle Face in Colombo calling for the resignation of the President and the government continued today for the 43rd consecutive day with more people from various parts of the country joining the protest.

Several people representing the visually and hearing impaired community came to the battlefield.

Meanwhile, the ‘No Deal Gama’ protest in front of Temple Trees continues for the ninth day today.

Members of the No Deal Gama also started social care programs today and as a first step, the protesters took steps to clean the Wellawatte beach.
