* Power cut schedule for GCE O / L examination period announced

May 21, Colombo: The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) has announced the power cut schedule for the period of the GCE Ordinary Level Examination from May 22 to June 01.

According to the Demand Management Schedule from 22nd May 2022 to 01st June 2022, there will be no power cuts on Sunday, May 22 and Sunday, May 29, the Public Utilities Commission said.

The PUCSL said there will be no power cuts after 6.30 pm on other days between the 22nd of May and the 1st of June.

On those days when the examination is not held, there will be a power cut of 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours and 15 minutes for all zones except the Industrial Zone and the Colombo Commercial City Zone from 12.00 noon to 6.30 pm.

There will be a three hour power cut for Industrial Zones from 5.00 am to 8.00 am and for the Colombo Commercial City Zone from 6.00 am to 9.00 am.
