* Police obtain 484 photos and 73 videos from the public on attack on protesters

May 20, Colombo: Police Media Spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa said the police have received 484 photographs and 73 videos from the public regarding the attack on the Maina Go Gama in front of Temple Trees and the Gota Go Gama at the Galle Face.

The Police Media Spokesman stated that 669 information has been received so far and 31 of them are complaints regarding damages.

The Police Media Spokesman stated that the public had sent information, photos and videos to telligp@police.gov.lk on 11.05.2022 and to the database through hotline number 1997, 118 to provide information and complaints to the public in this regard.

He thanked the public for providing information in this manner so that justice could be done expeditiously to the victims of this violence.

The Police Media Spokesman requested the public if there is any further information, refer to the above numbers and emails.
