* Curfew will be lifted for 12 hours tomorrow

May 13, Colombo: The curfew currently in effect in the entire island in accordance with the provisions of Section 16 of the Public Security Ordinance will be lifted at 06.00 am Saturday (14) for a period of 12 hours, the President’s Media Division announced.

The curfew will be re-imposed at 06.00 pm Saturday and will be in effect until 05.00 am Sunday (May 15).

Accordingly, no one is permitted to stay on a public road, railway line, public park, public playground, or any other public area or beach, without the written permission of an authorizing officer during the curfew period.
