May 11, Colombo: The curfew currently in effect in the entire island in accordance with the provisions of Section 16 of the Public Security Ordinance will be lifted at 07.00 am Thursday (12), the Presidential Media Unit announced.

The curfew will be re-imposed at 02.00 pm and will be in effect until 06.00 am Friday (2022-05-13).

Accordingly, no one is permitted to stay on a public road, railway line, public park, public playground, or any other public area or beach, without the written permission of an authorizing officer during that period.
