May 11, Colombo: A meeting between Qi Zhenhong, Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka and Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa took place today (11) at the Office of the Leader of the Opposition.
The situation Sri Lanka is facing at the moment was taken into lengthy consideration at the meeting where Leader of the Opposition called on the Chinese Ambassador to extend hands of brotherhood to Sri Lanka at this critical juncture.
The Leader of the Opposition said that priority will be given in his administration to govern the country in a transparent manner and to eradicate bribery, corruption and repression.
The Leader of the Opposition said that China’s generous support is essential for Sri Lanka’s recovery from the current predicament and called on the Ambassador to intervene.
Samagi Jan Balawegaya Member of Parliament Dr. Harsha de Silva was also present at the occasion.
