* Department of Immigration and Emigration officers to withdraw from VIP passenger clearance at airports from tomorrow

May 05, Colombo: Sri Lanka Immigration and Emigration Association has decided to suspend immigration and emigration duties for dignitaries at the VIP terminals at all airports in Sri Lanka, including Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport and Silk Route terminals for special care passengers from tomorrow.

The Association in a Press release said the trade union action will continue until the rulers formulate a national program to find a definite solution to the crisis in the country.
