* Another person collapses and dies in Sri Lanka fuel queues

Mar 21, Colombo: A man who was preparing to return from a queue after obtaining fuel at a petrol station in Mirigama town has collapsed and died at the hospital, Mirigama Police said.

The individual arrived in a three-wheeler had taken three cans of fuel from the filling station and carried two of the cans and placed them in the three wheeler.

He had fallen to the ground while carrying the third can and was rushed to the Mirigama Base Hospital by police officers on security duty.

It has been revealed that the person had already passed away on admission to the hospital.

On Sunday two men in their seventies collapsed and died after waiting in separate queues for nearly six hours to obtain fuel.
