June 23, Colombo: The ship carrying a consignment of 40,000 metric tons of 92 petrol which was scheduled to reach the island this morning (23) will be delayed by about a day, said the Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera.

Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera has stated this in a Twitter message.

The Minister said due to the delay a limited amount of Petrol will be distributed today and tomorrow island wide.

The Minister said auto diesel is being distributed across the country at full capacity but only a limited stock of super diesel will be issued to the market today.
