Jan 17, Colombo: According to Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry, 688 new COVID-19 cases were reported so far on Monday.

According to the Epidemiology Unit report at 7:30 pm Monday, a total of 597,035 COVID-19 cases have been reported since the beginning of the pandemic.

While 13,444 infected patients are currently under medical care at hospitals and homes, 568,373 patients have fully recovered and been discharged from hospitals.

Sri Lanka Monday reported 07 deaths raising the total to 15,218.

According to the Epidemiology Unit report, so far total of 16,206,725 people have received a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 13,873,104 have received the second dose. In addition, 4,743,581 have received the third booster dose.
