Mon, Jan 10, 2022, 12:42 pm SL Time, ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka.

Jan 10, Colombo: The Ministry of Education states that from today (10) all students will be called to schools as usual and academic activities will commence.

The decision was taken on the advice of the Director General of Health Services. Due to the Covid epidemic, steps have been taken to bring students to schools in several stages.

However, steps have been taken to close school cafeterias further.

Meanwhile, the Public Health Inspectors' Association says that with the resumption of academic activities in schools, more attention should be paid to the health of students.

Public Health Inspectors' Association chairman, Upul Rohana, said it was essential to follow proper health guidelines as children are more likely to develop Covid as they are exposed to society.
