* Sri Lankan rapper Shiraz -Rude Bwoy passes away soon after performance at Galle Face protest

Apr 12, Colombo: Sri Lankan Reggae, dance hall rap king Shiraz -Rude Bwoy has passed away after collapsing soon after his performance in the early hours of today (12) at the ‘Gota Go Home’ Protest at the Galle Face Green in Colombo.

Shiraz had performed Bob Marley’s ‘Get up, stand up’ to entertain the protesters last night and had collapsed soon after ending the song.

It is reported that Shiraz was pronounced dead while being transported in an ambulance to a nearby hospital.

Shiraz aka Rude Bwoy had reportedly died of a sudden heart attack.
