Sept 23, Colombo: According to Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry, 1,368 new COVID-19 cases were reported so far on Thursday.

According to the Epidemiology Unit report at 8:30 pm Thursday, a total of 510,040 COVID-19 cases have been reported since the inception of the pandemic. While 45,850 infected patients are currently under medical care at hospitals and homes, 451,742 patients have fully recovered and been discharged from hospitals.

Sri Lanka Thursday reported 72 deaths within last 24 hours raising the total to 12,448.

According to the Epidemiology Unit report, so far total of 14,032,696 people have received a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 11,306,826 have received the second dose.
