Sept 20, Colombo: Another consignment of the U.S. manufactured Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine purchased by the State Pharmaceuticals Corporation (SPC) arrived in Sri Lanka early Monday, an airport official said.
A consignment of 73,000 doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine was flown to the Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport from The Netherlands through Doha on a Qatar Airways cargo flight QR-668 arrived at around 2:10 this morning.
Steps have been taken to transport the consignment of vaccines from the airport to the Central Storage Complex by trucks of the Sri Lanka Pharmaceuticals Corporation with special refrigeration facilities.
