* Complaint lodged requesting an inquiry into data deletion at NMRA
Sun, Sep 19, 2021, 08:48 pm SL Time, ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka.

Sept 19, Colombo: The Convener of the Protect Sri Lanka Organization Venerable Pahiyangala Ananda Sagara Thera, and a group of people today (19) lodged a complaint with the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) demanding a formal investigation into the masterminds behind the deletion of data of the National Medicines Regulatory Authority (NMRA).

Ananda Sagara Thera said that it was a pity that the software engineer who had taken the responsibility for the deletion of data had not been questioned so far and that it seemed that the racketeers behind this were trying to cover it up.

He said it was important that the National Medicines Regulatory Authority's information on drug imports was stored outside the relevant software, especially the medicine and research kits related to Covid were brought outside of the prescribed methodology.

Ananda Sagara Thera also said that they would proceed towards a case against the ‘murderous’ medicinal drug mafia.
