* Development officer arrested with 45 vaccination cards

Sept 12, Colombo: A Community Development Officer of the Galle Municipal Council has been arrested for possessing 45 Covid vaccination cards, Galle Police said.

The police arrested the suspect with the vaccination cards on the information received that the he was in the possession of the cards

The suspect is a resident of Uluvitike, Navinna. He had participated in a Covid vaccination program on July 28 in the Galle Municipal Council area, police said.

The police have commenced investigations into his possession of the cards although the cards had to be handed over after the vaccination program,
