* Cabraal to hand over resignation letter to Parliamentary Secretary on Monday - report

Sept 11, Colombo: State Minister of Money and Capital Market and State Enterprise Reforms, Ajith Nivard Cabraal is scheduled to hand over the letter of resignation from his position as a Member of Parliament to the Secretary General of Parliament on Monday (13), according to government sources.

Cabraal is expected to assume duties as the Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka in the same week.

However, the State Minister has neither confirmed nor denied the reports of his resignation as Member of Parliament.

The current Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, Prof. WD Lakshman on Friday announced that he will retire on the 14th.
