* Health Ministry issues new health guidelines for next 15 days stressing proper adherence

Oct 30, Colombo: The Ministry of Health today stressing proper adherence to health guidelines as the country lifts all restrictions from tomorrow, issued new instructions to follow for the next 15 days.

Issuing a new set of guidelines for public and work-related activities from 1st to 15th November 2021, the Director General of Health Services Dr. Asela Gunawardena said although a significant control of the COVID-19 epidemic in the country is achieved, there is still a risk for escalation in COVID-19 transmission due to cluster formation.

Under this situation the efforts taken in gradual reopening of the country, need to be sustained in continued practice of DreAM in all situations, he said stressing that It is important to comply with the guidelines issued by the Director General of Health Services, subject to quarantine regulations.

The Director General of Health Services emphasized that contributing to the control of COVID-19 is the responsibility of every citizen as well as every governmental, non-governmental and private institutions.
