* Coronavirus update: 556 new COVID-19 cases identified Tuesday, total rises to 537,201

Oct 26, Colombo: According to Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry, 556 new COVID-19 cases were reported so far on Tuesday.

According to the Epidemiology Unit report at 9 pm Tuesday, a total of 537,201 COVID-19 cases have been reported since the inception of the pandemic.

While 19,544 infected patients are currently under medical care at hospitals and homes, 504,003, patients have fully recovered and been discharged from hospitals.

Sri Lanka Tuesday reported 14 deaths within last 24 hours raising the total to 13,654.

According to the Epidemiology Unit report, so far total of 15,061,354 people have received a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 13,201,141 have received the second dose.
