* Health Ministry announces further relaxation of public activities from today

Oct 26, Colombo: The Director-General of Health Services Dr. Asela Gunawardena has announced revised guidelines for activities in public and work settings with effect from midnight Monday.

Accordingly, night time travel restrictions imposed between 11.00 p.m. and 4.00 a.m. have been removed.

The new guidelines also allow more people to be accommodated at restaurants, weddings and office meetings.

With regard to dining in at restaurants, permission has been given to accommodate 1/3 of the usual capacity not exceeding 75 persons. If outdoors, 100 persons will be allowed.

Weddings will be permitted with a maximum 1/3 of the usual capacity of the hall, not exceeding 100 persons while 150 persons will be allowed for outdoor functions. However no liquor should be served in weddings.

Physical official meetings and events are permitted with a maximum 1/3 of the usual capacity not exceeding 150 persons.
