Oct 23, Colombo: According to Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry, 554 new COVID-19 cases were reported so far on Saturday. Among the new cases is a one foreign arrival.

According to the Epidemiology Unit report at 8:30 pm Saturday, a total of 535,529 COVID-19 cases have been reported since the inception of the pandemic.

While 18,846 infected patients are currently under medical care at hospitals and homes, 503,090, patients have fully recovered and been discharged from hospitals.

Sri Lanka Saturday reported 19 deaths within last 24 hours raising the total to 13,593.

According to the Epidemiology Unit report, so far total of 14,928,248 people have received a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 13,038,469 have received the second dose.
