* Inter-provincial travel restrictions extended until October 31

Oct 20, Colombo: The government has decided to maintain the current inter-provincial travel restrictions throughout the island until 4.00 am on October 31.

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has instructed the relevant authorities in this regard, said Army Commander General Shavendra Silva.

As initially decided, the travel restrictions between the provinces were due to end tomorrow (21).

The Army Commander said that this decision was taken as a measure to control the spread of Covid-19.
