Oct 15, Colombo: According to Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry, 666 new COVID-19 cases were reported so far on Friday.

According to the Epidemiology Unit report at 8:30 pm Friday, a total of 530,421 COVID-19 cases have been reported since the inception of the pandemic. While 25,014 infected patients are currently under medical care at hospitals and homes, 491,958 patients have fully recovered and been discharged from hospitals.

Sri Lanka Friday reported 20 deaths within last 24 hours raising the total to 13,449.

According to the Epidemiology Unit report, so far total of 14,754,334 people have received a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 12,657,989 have received the second dose.
