* Coronavirus update: 674 new COVID-19 cases identified Thursday, total rises to 529,755

Oct 14, Colombo: According to Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry, 674 new COVID-19 cases were reported so far on Thursday.

According to the Epidemiology Unit report at 8:30 pm Thursday, a total of 529,755 COVID-19 cases have been reported since the inception of the pandemic. While 24,722 infected patients are currently under medical care at hospitals and homes, 491,604 patients have fully recovered and been discharged from hospitals.

Sri Lanka Thursday reported 21 deaths within last 24 hours raising the total to 13,429.

According to the Epidemiology Unit report, so far total of 14,745,130 people have received a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 12,613,749 have received the second dose.
