* Coronavirus update: 719 new COVID-19 cases identified Saturday, total rises to 561,778

Nov 27, Colombo: According to Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry, 719 new COVID-19 cases were reported so far on Saturday.

According to the Epidemiology Unit report at 8:30 pm Saturday, a total of 561,778 COVID-19 cases have been reported since the beginning of the pandemic.

While 18,260 infected patients are currently under medical care at hospitals and homes, 529,240 patients have fully recovered and been discharged from hospitals.

Sri Lanka Saturday reported 20 deaths raising the total to 14,278.

According to the Epidemiology Unit report, so far total of 15,921,621 people have received a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 13,729,376 have received the second dose. In addition, 465,048 have received the third booster dose.
