* Sri Lanka Friday records over 3000 new COVID-19 cases for third consecutive day, total rises to 158,333

May 21, Colombo: According to Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry, 3,547 new COVID-19 cases were reported so far on Friday.

Among the positive cases identified Friday are, 3,538 persons from the New Year COVID-19 cluster and 09 foreign arrivals.

According to the Epidemiology Unit report at 9:45 pm Friday, a total of 158,333 COVID-19 cases have been reported and 31,884 infected patients are being treated at hospitals, while 125,360 patients have fully recovered and been discharged from hospitals.

According to the Epidemiology Unit report, so far total of 1,42,5556 people have received a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 316,134 have received the second dose.
