* Ten Laxapana hydro power plant workers infected with coronavirus

Mar 06, Colombo: An official of the Ambagamuwa Office of the Medical Officer of Health has confirmed that 10 employees of the Laxapana Hydro Power Plant have been infected with the Covid-19 virus and have been referred to a treatment center.

The official said since three employees of the hydro power plant have been diagnosed with the first Covid 19 previously, the other employees were subjected to a Rapid Antigen Test and it was confirmed that seven employees were infected with the Covid 19 virus.

According to an official of the Laxapana Hydro Power Plant, another 140 employees were subjected to a PCR test and self-quarantined at the employees’ quarters of the Laxapana Hydro Power Plant.
