Sat, Mar 6, 2021, 12:33 am SL Time, ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka.

Mar 05, Colombo: Dasun Shanaka, captain of the Sri Lanka T20 squad, who encountered visa crisis before the team’s departure, is scheduled to leave for the West Indies on the 7th of this month, Sri Lanka Cricket said.

Dasun will miss out on playing in the three-match T20I series due to having to submit to the quarantine period, but will have the opportunity to compete in the ODI and Test tour.

Shanaka had previously arranged to travel to the West Indies via the United States, but had to face this problem due to the loss of his passport, which had been issued with visa for entry to the U.S.

However, Dasun now has the opportunity to take part in the tournament entering through France.
