Mar 03, Colombo: President Gotabaya Rajapaksa inaugurated the Air Show organized to mark the 70th anniversary of the Sri Lanka Air Force at the Galle Face Green in Colombo this afternoon (03).

The Sri Lanka Air Force is celebrating its 70th Anniversary and to commemorate the historical event, a Fly Past and an Aerobatic Display were organized for the first time in Sri Lanka at a grand scale at Galle Face from 03-05 Mar 21.

To take part in the grand event, on an invitation from Sri Lanka Air Force, 23 Indian military aircraft including the fixed wing “Suryakirans’ and rotary wing ‘Sarang’, Light Combat Aircraft Tejas along with Indian Air Force aerobatic display teams arrived in Colombo on February 27.
